Submissions are open for the Jingkids Creative Writing Contest!

Here has jingkids, we love stories; stories that make us laugh, stories that make us cry, and stories that share our unique perspectives on the world. There are so many young and powerful voices that we have yet to tap into, so we are looking to change that today with the announcement of the jingkids Creative Writing Contest!

Starting in October, we’ll be posting selected creative writing entries to the jingkids Official WeChat account every week. Entries should be in keeping with the theme and be written in plain English without using offensive language. Each entry must be the entrant’s personal and entirely original work, which must not have been previously published on any other media platform, previously used as class assignments, or won a prize in other writing competitions. All entrants must be between the ages of 13 and 18 and reside in Beijing at the time of submission and posting. Please note that each participant can only submit one application per theme.

For the month of October, the theme will be – you guessed it – horror story!

There is more to this story! This article originally appeared on our sister site, Jingkids International.
