Creative Writing Workshop with Robin Stevenson
June 15: 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Join award-winning author Robin Stevenson for a comprehensive writing workshop! Participants will explore how they can use their own experiences and curiosity to create compelling writing and compelling characters, discuss strategies for coming up with story ideas; develop their skills in creating complex and believable characters; and discover how well-developed characters can help uncover new story possibilities. Children’s writing club
9-12 years old. Are you a budding writer? Join a writing club just for you. We will do fun activities, write games, have special guests and work on our own projects. Two sessions are available:
In person: Wednesdays, May 4 to June 15, 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Online: Thursdays, May 5 – June 16, 4-5 p.m.
D&D for tweens
12-15 years old. Adventurers! Let’s seek glory and treasure together in a D&D game on Zoom. We will be playing a level 10 adventure, D&D gaming experience required. This is a six-week program, held online every Friday from May 6 to June 10, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
White Pines Gala 2022
Celebrate new additions to our collection of local White Pines authors at this in-person gala! Join us at the Inlet Theater as we celebrate Port Moody’s vibrant community of writers. Meet the new White Pines authors and listen to each of them give a reading from their latest book. There will be a short Q&A session with the author after the readings. Wednesday June 8, 7-8:30 p.m.
